Hip Hop Abs – Greatest Abs Exercise Or Infomercial Scam?

Hip Hop Abs from BeachBodyHere we go again, yet another infomercial promising flat, sculptured abs while not having to do ‘painful’ crunches or sit ups. Hence what’s the deal?

Then read our Hip Hops Abs review and find out…

The Hiphop Abs package includes four DVDs, a thirty day workout calendar and 24 x 7 ‘online support’ (which is somewhat misleading as the ‘expert’ support is limited to forum exchanges with other users and the odd live chat with Shaun T).

Unless you download the DVDs from the Net, you will also need to pay $60, plus delivery and packaging.

The target groups of this exercise routine are allegedly ladies and gay men, like Shaun himself. Straight males could be rather irked by his continuous chatter (though you can turn up the volume of the music over the talk ) and the way that he moderates the programme.

The Hip Hop moves shown on the DVDs are nothing that you can boast about at a club, so if you’d like to learn real moves, we recommend you take Hiphop classes at your local gym instead.

The most vital thing you really have to realize is that, in order to get tight, strongly outlined abs, nothing tops bicycle manoeuvre, captains chair and crunches on an exercise ball, as lately proven again by a study conducted at the University of San Diego. Thus, if horny abs is your one goal, if you can motivate yourself and eat healthily, just do one of the previously mentioned three exercises every day and you’ll get a better result than with anything sold through an infomercial.

So, what is the Shaun T Hip-Hop Abs workout good for? Check out these Pros and Cons:

Pros

Hip Hop Abs from BeachBodyDoing the moves presented on the exercise DVDs sure beats sitting on the couch and just watching the television. If you do it properly, work up a sweat and really get your pulse rate up, you can lose weight; especially if you stick to the diet strategy that comes with the package. It can make sense to add it to your daily agenda and you can get a nice endorphin boost.

Depending on the kind of person you are, you could have a very good time watching Shaun T working his sexy body up into a sweat and listening to his talk. In that case, the short exercise programs will fly right by.

Cons

The primary issue with Hiphop Abs is it is not the ultimate workout for your abs. The ‘standing crunch’ advertised as the core movement is in no way as good as cycling, the captain’s chair or real crunches. Muscle shortening by bending slightly, as exhibited in Hiphop Abs, doesn’t stimulate your abs and make them grow bigger and stronger. This is one clear case where the folks selling the product are trying to mislead you.

Hiphop Abs is not a cardiovascular exercise. If you are in halfway reasonable shape, the workout routines of Shaun T won’t make you break out in a giant sweat. Eventually, you become used to the drill and as your muscles adapt and your actions become more effective, your body will be less challenged. So, to challenge it more, you’ll need to ‘upgrade’ to the advanced exercise programs, which basically means buying more things from them.

The moves are not for everybody and take a little time getting familiar with. It is in no way authentic Hip hop that you are learning here. Plus, the music and Shaun T are not for everybody, which is fair enough.

Hip Hop Abs Success Stories

‘Testimonials’ claim to have utilised the product and to have lost as much as three inches on their hips in no more than three days. Such a weight management in such a short time isn’t just very unlikely, but were it true, would it be healthy? Don’t purchase the item and expect to look like Shaun T after a few weeks.

I am starting my 4th week of Hip Hop Abs Monday. After being ill for a few years I am now on a journey to get fit and healthy again. I like to dance and ordered Hip Hop Abs, it is fun, goes by quickly and I have lost 13lbs and several inches all over but most from my abs. I know this is a beginner type of program and that is why I ordered it, to help me get fit while having fun and without me losing the motivation to workout because the program is beyond what I am capable of right now. I am sure in 6 months I will order another program that will push me harder, but I just don’t have the endurance for that now.” (Mary)

In several forums, folk bitch about the customer service delivered by Hip Hop Abs and about being ripped off or receiving stuff they didn’t essentially want to purchase. If you’re set on buying the product, use PayPal or make sure you do not get scammed or overcharged for stuff you never wanted.

Hip Hop Abs Results

Conclusion – Does Hip Hop Abs Work?

Now, is Hip Hop Abs by Shaun T the ultimate abs workout or a total scam like other products advertised in infomercials? The answer is: neither.

If dancing is your thing, if you suspect this looks like a fun way to lose weight and if you are prepared to spend the cash, then by all means do it and give Hip-Hop Abs a whirl. If it gets you off the settee and makes you exercise every day, if it makes you change to a more healthy diet and makes you feel better about yourself, then it is worth it.

If you are strapped for time and cannot spend hours in the gym, then this would be an ideal place to start. Once you build your stamina up (do this very gradually so as to avoid injuries and set-backs) then you can increase the intensity of this program and include others for variety so your body does not build up a tolerance; after all your hard work, you do not want to hit a wall and plateau prematurely.

When you’re looking for the best method to build your abs, you need to stick to the scientifically demonstrated techniques. Performing real abs exercises might burn a little bit, but how sweet is that pain if it actually gets results that can be measured. Additionally, Hip Hop Abs isn’t an acceptable heart exercise since it is neither progressive nor adaptive. If you’d like to build a real sweat, go for a run instead, or use the cardio machines in your gymnasium. That will make you shed pounds faster and you can track your own improvement better.

Get flat, sexy 6-pack abs, without ever doing a single crunch and never do monotonous, mind-numbing sit-ups ever again! Hip Hop Abs guarantees you’ll lose up to 3 inches off your waist in 6 days, or you’ll get your money back!

I love dance routines and I currently do a cardio hip hop class a few times a week. However, I wanted to increase my exercise and thought this would be a good morning exercise. I ordered it early one morning and the customer service operator was on the side of being rude. i told her what I wanted and she was constantly trying to get me to buy other stuff. I had to tell her that I would cancel the entire order if she did not just place the order that I called for.

      Melinda,

We know exactly what you mean, but the problem is that these people are often on commission and they therefore try to squeeze every last cent out of every single sale. Good on you for sticking to your guns!
